Goretex pants are tops as a water proof shell, with alleged and supposed breathability.
But the reality is if you are moving too much you will sweat like crazy, no matter the magic fabric claims made. If you have to be outside in the rain and mostly just chilling, these will help keep you dry for quite awhile.
If you want to be safe and make sure these are waterproofed, spring for the Condition 1. If you want to save some money, then we recommend buying the condtion 2 and later using a DWR type wash, or silicone water proofing spray to help restore it's water proofing.
These are all Genuine issue US issue wet/cold weather. We don't have them listed out by every different generation/NSN, so if you are autistically collecting gear from different eras, you can either gamble with us and save or shop elsewhere and pay their premium.
