German Surplus OD Large Mountain Duffel Bag w/ Lock

This or the cheaper, more rugged, and larger USGI Duffel bag?  The German duffel is heavy canvas and leather for a more natural feel.  The locking bar doubles as a drag handle.  Now, it doesn't carry as well on the back because it's more barrel shaped and puts some weight away from the body and it's not going to be nearly as durable.  

This is a hipster duffel, basically.
