At ODGG, several core members of our training group have used both binos and monos extensively.  There are benefits and drawbacks of both.  But when we're talking extended time under NODs and moving through varied terrain -- a monocular is way more comfortable over time and allows you to maintain depth perception.

You could save money on the NW1 or 3AL3 units that AGM offers, but if you can swing it -- the 3APW is going to offer you some of the best-in-class performance for under $5k.
