US Military Surplus GripPods

The early GWOT days were a wild time.  If you had a product that you could sell to the military, they were buying!

Old heads will remember waves and waves of RFI, Rapid Fielding Initiative, showing up.  Units would be sent crates and crates of miscellaneous optics, accessories, slings, you name it.  No one read the manuals, no one had the same optic.  You just tried to grab what looked cool.  Inside this bounty of tactical trash were the Grip Pods.  

Both a vertical grip, and a quick deploying bipod, the Grip Pod seemed like a 2 for 1 special!  Only it is obnoxiously huge, a terrible bipod for all intents and purposes, and not the most durable thing out there.  About the only thing is it good for is to set your rifle on the ground and it will stand up and off the dirt and mud.  As quick as these went on guys' rifles, they came off.

Now though?  Now you can build a GWOT clone bro!  

These are NOS, New Old Stock, samples.  Not in package but not used, signs of extended storage.  Best guess, about 15-20 years old.
