These blankets are HEAVY.  A queen size blanket made of virgin wool blend with one of the highest wool blend contents we've found.

Wool is a time proven, war proven, historically proven fabric -- one of the most life saving and warm materials known to man. This is one of the only materials that can be 100% soaking wet, and still retain your body heat. I do not go anywhere without 2 of these in my vehicle, and one in my backpack every time I plan on staying the night in the wet mountains of the Pacific Northwest. 

The "Premium" wools have a sewn in border trim, a higher wool content, and have production dates in the 60's.  The Standard wools have a lower wool content, blanket stitch, and the production dates in the 80's.

Wool Blanket Factory Bruckmühl
In 1898, a mill at Heufeld became the Loden and Wolldeckenfabrik. A lively construction activity began on the site, the business flourished. Since 1913, the area has been called Bavarian Wool Blanket Factory Bruckmühl. The largest industrial company in the community developed; over 800 people found after the 2nd World War work there. The good development of the factory contributed decisively to the growth of Bruckmühl. In 1983, the plant had to be closed.
