AGM PVS-14 NW1 Gen2+ Monocular Night Vision (White Phos)

You need night vision, ya?  You like starry nights and navigating land without lights, or you want to pew-pew past dusk.  Well, here's a great option that's much more affordable than binos.  As they say, a PVS-14 style monocular on the head is worth more than not having night vision that you otherwise couldn't afford.  Amiright?  

At ODGG, several core members of our training group have used both binos and monos extensively.  There are benefits and drawbacks of both.  But when we're talking extended time under NODs and moving through varied terrain -- a monocular is way more comfortable over time and allows you to maintain depth perception.

The PVS-14 NW1 is the enhanced budget level monocular from AGM.  Equipped with Gen II+ White Phosphor tubes, these tubes offer remarkable clarity at the price point, but aren't as powerful as modern US tubes.  We'd argue it's better to start training now than later -- or you can be a FOMfag online about it and worry about top of the line specs you'll never actually buy or use.    Your call.

With these tubes, you did get a bit of visual "noise" -- visual static -- which is why they are rated as Gen2 vs much cleaner Gen3.   How much does that matter?  Depends on your level of tism.
