FR stands for Flame Resistant. It could also stand for f*cking r*tard. So get some FR long johns to stay warm or be stupid.
Now, don't go running into burning houses but just know FR layers are useful mostly to keep your other clothes from melting into your skin the event you're immolated but not going to completely burn to death.
