AGM Rattler V2 35-640 Thermal Riflescope 50 Hz

We got buddies who run these and have killed many a pig or coyote.  For the price, the Rattlers have some of the best features and performance on the market.  You can spend many thousands more and get some better specs, sure.   But there is such a thing as diminishing returns.  For the Lethally Poor, having any sort of thermal system is a huge force multiplier.  If you're in a blind, or an LP/OP, at least one dude needs to be running a thermal.  

So, what the hell does 35-640 mean?  35 is the size of the lens and 640 is the power of the sensor, or the resolution.  The rule of thumb is the higher number, the higher the cost.  So pair the unit that suits your needs and your budget.  The 25 is the medium sized unit from AGM, and the 640 is the top of the line sensor regularly offered by AGM.  

That said, we've had buddies spotting out deer, coyote, and pig out to 120 yards with no problem running a 19-256.  AGM boasts a detection range of 1200 yards with the 640, but likely you won't have enough detail to PID (positive identification) to make a shot at that distance.  This level of magnification and sensor can comfortably PID and make a shot at around at about 400 yards.
